First bombshell after Stölting joins Austrian joint venture
Stölting secures major contract
at Austria Vienna
VIENNA. Just under a month after Stölting Service Group GmbH began Following Stölting Austria GmbH’s entry into the Austrian market, its subsidiary Stölting Sicherheitsdienste AT Ost GmbH has secured a major client: from July 2025, the company will be responsible for security at the stadium of Bundesliga football club FK Austria Wien. „This new contract marks a strong start to Stölting’s entry into the Austrian market and underlines the successful collaboration with Raiffeisen Continuum,“ says Dr Boris Westerfeld, Managing Director of Stölting Austria and COO of the Stölting Service Group.
Alongside Stölting, Raiffeisen Continuum remains the sole other shareholder in Stölting Austria (formerly Wagner RCP Security Holding), which, through its subsidiary Stölting Sicherheitsdienste AT Ost GmbH, brings relevant experience and a strong presence in the Austrian market. The joint subsidiary is already a partner of the Vienna City Marathon, Austria’s largest sporting event, with 42,000 runners crossing the finish line and up to 400,000 spectators lining the route. Stölting Sicherheitsdienste AT Ost GmbH can also draw on its experience from the Eurovision Song Contest, the Ski World Cup, the World Sailing Games and the Four Hills Tournament for this new contract.
Stölting brings its many years of expertise in the German market to the holding company, particularly in the field of major events and football. For example, the Gelsenkirchen-based company, which operates throughout Germany, was one of the leading service providers at the 2024 European Championship. Furthermore, Stölting has been a long-standing partner of German Bundesliga clubs including VfL Bochum, Borussia Dortmund, VfL Wolfsburg, FC Schalke and Fortuna Düsseldorf. At the stadiums, Stölting handles cleaning, security and catering to ensure that home matches, attended by up to around 80,000 spectators, run smoothly. „We will now also be entering into such a close business partnership on an equal footing with Austria Vienna and making a strong commitment to the club,“ announced Westerfeld. „This contract therefore marks the first milestone in the strategic realignment and partnership between Raiffeisen Continuum and Stölting – and it will not be the last this year.“
The cooperation combines Stölting's expertise and innovative strength with a deep understanding of the specific requirements of the Austrian market. This has clearly also convinced those responsible at Austrian record title holders FK Austria Wien: „Stölting has offered us a holistic concept that goes far beyond the area of security. This, combined with their many years of expertise, especially with regard to major events, has prompted us to set new impulses. We are very much looking forward to the upcoming collaboration and mutually beneficial partnership,“ says Harald Zagiczek, Chief Financial Officer of FK Austria Wien.
In addition to its involvement in sport, the Stölting Service Group is consistently pursuing its growth strategy and aims to establish its core competencies in Austria as well. The focus here is particularly on the areas of cleaning, security, personnel and catering.
In Germany, Stölting has been a reliable partner in the public sector for many years – including in local public transport, ensuring safety at stations and on trains, securing railway tracks, guarding critical infrastructure and at major events such as concerts and trade fairs. In future, this expertise will also be brought into the Austrian holding company and expanded there in a targeted manner.

Stölting is thus consistently continuing its growth course. The company now has 40 locations and over 15,000 employees in Germany. Within 20 years, turnover has risen from around 3.5 million to just under 400 million euros.
Securing and expanding jobs
All permanent employees of Stölting Sicherheitsdienste AT Ost GmbH will remain with the company. What's more, „Our clear growth strategy means that our goal is to create more jobs and expand the company,“ says Dr Boris Westerfeld. „Stölting Sicherheitsdienste AT Ost GmbH currently has a steadily growing pool of employees. In the coming months, we will work intensively to pool our resources and expertise in order to expand our market position, including in terms of employees and recruiting.
