In 2009, the Stölting Service Group acquired Sikra Rail-Sicherheit GmbH. The subsidiary was previously based in Essen on Hafenstraße. It has now moved to Erle, to the holding company's location. It brings with it high-tech safety equipment for rail network construction sites and 100 employees. The move from Essen does not mean that the location there is being abandoned. Stölting remains a tenant and retains its base for further expansion in the neighbouring town.
