On 4 December 2017, the relevant committees of the Federal Guild Association (BIV) of the Building Cleaning Trade and the Industrial Union of Construction, Agriculture and Environment (IG BAU) approved the new wage and minimum wage collective agreement for commercial employees in the building cleaning trade trade.
The collective agreement will thus come into force in 2018, will run for three years and provides for a significant wage increase for all employees: by 2020, wages will be gradually raised to €10.80 and brought into line with western Germany levels in eastern Germany.
A declaration of „general applicability“ is not expected until next year.
Despite the declaration of general applicability still being pending, the Stölting Service Group will remunerate all employees in accordance with the new collective wage agreement from 1 January 2018.
This provides planning security for the next three years for the 7,000 employees of the Stölting Service Group nationwide.
