Stölting increases turnover to record levels | Growth continues | New advisory board formed

Financial year 2018

According to preliminary financial statements, the Stölting Service Group closed the 2018 financial year with significant growth and another record result for the seventh consecutive year. Never before in its 120-year history has the group of companies reported higher turnover.
With total group revenue of €185 million, revenue for 2017 increased by around 5.51% compared with the previous year.
The earnings performance, with an EBT of 5.3%, is also extremely encouraging, given the significant investments made in infrastructure in 2018.
Sales growth was evenly distributed across all divisions. Many large-scale projects in the area of event venues such as football stadiums and airports were secured as new customers.

Sebastian Mosbacher, Managing Director of the Stölting Service Group, adds:
„In particular, the positive return on investment in a year in which we made the largest infrastructure investment in our 120-year history, with the construction of our new headquarters, „Stölting Harbour,“ at a cost of nearly €30 million, shows us that our strategy of sustainable growth is the right one.

Trend 2019

This is also confirmed by the results for the first quarter of 2019: „Compared to the previous year, revenue increased by a further 9.71% and EBT by over 301%. The task now is to consolidate this trend so that we can report record results again next year. We are forecasting that we will exceed the €200 million revenue mark.“

Advisory Board

In order to best meet the changing requirements of the group of companies with regard to strategic growth in infrastructural facility management, security and personnel services, the Stölting Service Group has formed a new advisory board.

The Advisory Board now consists of the following members:
– Dr Jörg-Uwe Hahn, lawyer, former Hessian Minister of State, Member of the Hessian Parliament
– Sascha Korte, Chief Executive Officer, European Home Care
– Josef Schnusenberg, tax advisor, former CEO and CFO of FC Schalke 04
– Arnd Sieling, solicitor, Chief Executive Officer of Avantium Asset Management
– Olaf Thon, Head of Department at FC Schalke 04, former national player

The advisory board will be chaired by Arnd Sieling, who commented on the reorganisation of the advisory board as follows: „The task of the advisory board is to support the shareholders and management of the Stölting Service Group in achieving their strategic growth targets and overcoming the many challenges that this entails. We look forward to this!“.

Hans Mosbacher, managing partner of the Stölting Service Group, adds: „With the reorganisation of the advisory board, we have succeeded in attracting a group of external advisors consisting of highly qualified individuals from various fields to support the further development of the group. The willingness of these individuals to participate in the advisory board also confirms our belief in the sustainable growth potential of the Stölting Service Group.“
