Digitisation of machine management at the Stölting Group: new cooperation with software service provider ToolSense

Right on time at the start of 2022, the Stölting Service Group is taking another step towards digitalisation and process optimisation: through its cooperation with ToolSense, an Austrian start-up founded from a computer science project at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien.

When evaluating suitable software for managing cleaning machines and all other electrical devices within the Stölting Group, the innovative ToolSense IoT solution scored highly in comparison. The most convincing advantages of using the tool are its manufacturer independence, the simple digitalisation of all device processes, and the significant cost and time savings.

The cloud-based platform offers all operational units within the Stölting Group professional, centrally controlled machine and service management, thus forming an efficient basis for inventorying and managing all electrical devices in use.

Each machine is individually recorded via a QR code. Associated documents (such as operating instructions, spare parts lists, etc. – even video files) are stored in a life cycle file together with service documentation (such as test reports, damage photos, etc.) and other information on, for example, locations of use, service tickets, etc. At the touch of a button, every employee has access to all relevant information about each individual device! This means that, for example, in the event of a repair or new purchase, a detailed utilisation overview can be used as a basis for evaluation at any time.

This step towards „machine digitalisation“ will open up a 360-degree view of all equipment subject to inspection in the future. In addition to all device-specific data, the current inspection status can be called up at any time – in real time! – and, thanks to integrated planning and notification functions, compliance with all relevant inspection deadlines is guaranteed.

Additional features such as digital damage reporting, automated information rules and regular service/maintenance reminders round off the software package.
