Ruhr Oel GmbH – BP Gelsenkirchen commissioned the Stölting Service Group on 1 January to secure its refinery sites in Gelsenkirchen. The company was directly awarded the contract for plant security at the two production sites in Gelsenkirchen-Horst and -Scholven. The Gelsenkirchen refinery and petrochemical site is a leading producer of diesel, petrol, heating oil and kerosene, as well as petrochemical products.
With numerous qualified employees, Stölting secures the plant in Gelsenkirchen Scholven, which covers 250 hectares and is thus as large as 350 football pitches, as well as the plant in the Horst district, which covers 160 hectares. Security and safety personnel are responsible for gate services, patrols and intervention services. Dog handlers with guard dogs are also deployed.
