Stölting Group continues to grow

Good news for the approximately 30 DeichTec employees in Emden: their jobs will be saved. The Stölting Group will take over the insolvent security technology company on 1 January 2025. Stölting Managing Director Dr Boris Westerfeld announced this yesterday (12 December 2024) at the staff meeting: „With its location and full-service mentality, DeichTec is a perfect fit for Stölting, both geographically and in terms of content. I am delighted that the company will be strengthening the Stölting Group in the coming year.“

The Stölting Group will continue to operate DeichTec as an independent subsidiary at its Emden location. All employees, including managing director and DeichTec owner Jens Sülflow, will remain on board. „I am delighted – especially for our dedicated and highly skilled team – to have found a strong partner in the Stölting Group, with whom we can remain an attractive employer and point of contact in the region and even grow,“ says Sülflow.

It's a classic win-win situation, because the DeichTec takeover also fits perfectly with the Stölting Group's own goals. „Our aim is to continue growing and establish a nationwide presence,“ says CEO Sebastian Mosbacher. „With over 40 locations throughout Germany, we are already well on our way. With the DeichTec location in Emden, we now also cover the East Frisia region and can gradually offer our entire range of services there, from cleaning to security. In this way, we are also strengthening the city of Emden and the entire region.“

Stölting acquires healthy company
DeichTec is a healthy company that only got into trouble because of Corona and fits perfectly with Stölting thanks to its „all hands on deck“ and full-service mentality. The regional provider of security and media technology, such as fire and burglar alarm systems and video surveillance, which operates throughout Germany in the project business, was founded in 2017 and grew rapidly. In August 2024, the company was forced to file for insolvency.

The insolvency administrator appointed by the Aurich Local Court, lawyer Axel Gerbers from the law firm Johlke Niethammer (JNP), continued business operations in full during the proceedings and has now successfully concluded the investor process together with managing director Jens Sülflow. On 9 December, the creditors„ meeting commissioned Axel Gerbers to finalise the purchase agreement and sign it. “This excellent business solution puts DeichTec on a secure footing,„ said Gerbers. “DeichTec's employees have extensive technical expertise in the important safety industry. This expertise will remain at the Emden site. In addition, DeichTec will now gain nationwide visibility, while Stölting will establish itself as a full-service infrastructure provider in East Frisia with its range of services." The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Thanks for your passionate commitment
DeichTec currently supplies security technology to 1,500 renowned customers. These include manufacturing companies as well as public sector organisations and hospitals. As of 2023, annual turnover stands at six million euros. DeichTec Managing Director Jens Sülflow expressed his gratitude above all to the employees for their passionate commitment over the past months and to customers and suppliers for their loyalty. Stölting Managing Director Sebastian Mosbacher added: „Both of these factors clearly showed us that our investment here was absolutely right. We are therefore looking forward to a productive and trusting cooperation.“
