Despite the ongoing pandemic, the Gelsenkirchen-based building and service provider was able to continue its growth trajectory in its core business areas of cleaning, security and personnel services.

In the past financial year 2021, the Stölting Service Group has thus further expanded its nationwide presence, which is reflected in the figures of over 14,400 employees at more than 40 locations.

The group's turnover rose to €361 million, of which approximately €601 million was generated in the facility management sector. This represents further growth of just under 9.51% compared with the previous year (€330 million).

In addition to existing customers, numerous new customers were acquired. These include well-known DAX companies, but also many small and medium-sized customers as well as municipal institutions and authorities. In particular, the company's involvement in sports arenas and event venues was greatly expanded. The new customers made use of the entire service portfolio of the group of companies. The nationwide branch network was a significant advantage in reliably implementing customer requirements, as it allowed the company to leverage its regional proximity to customers.

In addition to the growth of the company, internal processes, technical systems and digitalisation were also advanced at the same pace, and this will continue in 2022. This means that further jobs and training places will be created both at the headquarters in Gelsenkirchen and in the branches. The completion of two new administrative buildings at Stölting Harbour in Gelsenkirchen-Bismarck in spring 2022 also signals the future direction of the company.

The Service Group has set itself further ambitious goals in terms of the environment and sustainability: with the gradual conversion of its 1,200-strong vehicle fleet to e-mobility, as well as expanded offers for employee bicycles and discounted public transport tickets, the company aims to significantly improve its carbon footprint. The ecological footprint is also being continuously reduced through the expansion of cooperation within the service network with regard to energy- and water-saving cleaning machines, the use of ecological cleaning agents and resource-saving building technology. The aim is to achieve the EcoVadis gold medal in 2022 by implementing far-reaching measures and to bring the group of companies into the next decade as a carbon-neutral organisation.
