Top-class service at the Moselstadion: Stölting Catering becomes Eintracht Trier’s new partner

SV Eintracht Trier 05 embodies a thrilling footballing tradition in Rhineland-Palatinate. Founded in 1905, the club has shaped the regional sporting landscape for over a century and thrills a loyal and passionate fanbase at Trier’s Moselstadion.

In this setting steeped in tradition, the Stölting Service Group is setting the course for the future: since 1 July, Stölting Catering GmbH has been responsible for all public catering at SVE’s home matches as a new long-term partner. The contract has been signed for the next five years and marks the start of a forward-looking partnership.

Modern technology and genuine stadium classics

To guarantee fans at the Moselstadion the very best quality and minimal waiting times during half-time breaks, Stölting made targeted investments in modern infrastructure even before the start of the season. Thanks to the use of innovative, automatic rapid-dispensing systems („beer boosters“), refreshments are served in record time, whilst newly installed payment terminals also allow for cashless payments. When it comes to food, Stölting sticks firmly to the tried-and-tested, authentic stadium fare: chips, bratwurst and currywurst ensure that unmissable match-day atmosphere in the stands.

New catering concept at the Moselstadion proves a hit during matches

The partnership has already proved its worth under challenging conditions over the past few weeks. At the home matches held so far at the Moselstadion, the new drinks and food outlets were very busy and impressed, particularly thanks to their well-coordinated operations. At the same time, when attendance was high, there was scope for improvement in the area of till systems. „The home matches so far have shown that our new catering concept works and that the processes at the stalls mesh well together. At the same time, we noticed straight away during the match against RB Leipzig that the till systems reached their limits when there were particularly large crowds. That does not meet our standards. We therefore reacted immediately and ordered more powerful equipment to further optimise operations and offer fans an all-round positive stadium experience,“ says Oliver Kersten, Managing Director of Stölting Catering GmbH.

Comments on the partnership

Oliver Kersten, Managing Director of Stölting Catering GmbH:

„Eintracht Trier stands for a long-standing tradition, passionate fans and a very special atmosphere at the Moselstadion. Our aim is to offer visitors an all-round enjoyable experience, even off the pitch. We have invested heavily in the run-up to the season to ensure that everything runs smoothly on matchdays, and the first few weeks – as well as the sold-out match against RB Leipzig – have shown that our concept is working perfectly, even if there were a few teething problems. We are very much looking forward to this long-term partnership over the next five years and to many memorable moments on the Moselle.“

Stefan Lambert, member of the board of SV Eintracht-Trier 05:

„In Stölting Catering, we have found an experienced and professional partner. Stölting knows what matters to the fans on match day: speedy service, whether at the drinks or snack stands, digital payment options and friendly staff. So far, this has worked very well during the first few matches. We look forward to the next five years with confidence and are delighted to be working together.“
